I have chosen my fiction story for my portfolio. I had to think like a fiction writer. A fiction writer needs to think about what kind of book they would wish that existed in the world. Some things that they do are they make up a situation or a problem and their character. Then you would have them solve it. Your characters need to have internal and external traits. This means like there age and the hair color or there skin color. You can use a story map so you can plan your story. When you write the piece you start with the setting and the character you need to be sure that the reader can see the picture in there head. Know what the obstacles are and what is the problem or situation standing in there way. Remember when ever you write a fiction story you need to let the reader see what the character is doing. And also you need to remember to put dialog. Wright with small moments and when you write some small moments it leads to the climax. Resolve the story so you don’t leave people hanging. I think that I did really well on the characters. I believe that I described them really well. I made them use dialog a lot and I think that, that was a good way for my piece of writing to stand out. What I think that I would improve on is the editing. Because I do think that I could have done much better then I did. If I did do better I would probably get a much better grade. So as much work as this sounds I love working in Language Arts and writing stories it is really fun!
